The first most important thing to know is that an amount of the advanced Texas Holdem tells will be involuntary. That means the person doesn’t know they are doing them. These are the valuable tells that will help you win the game. If you see an involuntary tell that a player has good cards then he probably does indeed have them.

Advanced Texas Holdem Tell #2: Facial Expressions

One of the most obvious tells are facial expressions. Forehead wrinkling, eye brows, movement of eyes, smiles or frowns, even chins scrunching up are all facial expressions. How a person bets is important. The biggest tell here is what types of chips the person is using. If they use five 0 chips to bet 0 this is different to using one 0 chip to bet 0. Your brain perceives smaller chips are being ‘worth’ less so you are more likely to gamble on this. On the other side of the coin the brain sees less chips as ‘smaller’ and more easy to take on.
