I don’t think that dealer should? have overturned that 89 Yang bluffed with. Yang mucked his hand, even if he was called to a showdown, his hand was mucked and if you muck your hand at any time it’s automatically dead and the British guy would have won with anything at that point.

I guess I must know something about poker. Or at least enough to have cashed in Event #3 last year in a field of? 2,998 players (the biggest in the history of poker up to that point excluding the WSOP Main Event). Only once throughout the entire tournament can I say I got « lucky ». I had A J all-in pre-flop against A Q with around 700 players left. We both hit an A on the flop, and the turn was a blank. I needed a J on the river to survive, and hit it. Otherwise my play was all skill.

If you knew anything about poker, you’d realize that getting through day 1 is the most difficult part, and it has zero to do with talent and everything to do with luck. That’s why every year a new donkey will win this tournament. Joe Hachem and Greg Raymer are the exceptions to the rule. All I have to say this are two words- Chris Moneymaker. However, I do want to thank him for? the extra $ I won in Event 3 ($1500 NL ) last year.

Do any of you people actually play poker? That was a no? brainer. He flat calls the flop bet and checks the turn. 7 times out of 10 that’s a draw play and on that board the logical draw was J 9. Be impressed by Negreanu. He is scary!
